Bachelor of Arts in Economics (BA in Economics) program is a three year programme designed to provide a general education, with an emphasis on the skills and knowledge required to understand the economy. The University of Calicut has introduced Choice Based Credit Semester System (CUCCSS) for U.G curriculum in colleges with effect from 2009 admission onwards. Presently Department follows the scheme and syllabus CUCBSS UG 2014, implemented with effect from 2014 admissions.
As per the scheme & syllabus of University of Calicut, BA Economics Course has to choose two complementary courses. The complementary courses chosen are Social Psychology and Modern Indian History.
