Students of our department set aside a day of every month for visiting inmates of ‘Snehatheeram’ the palliative care unit in Chungathara. Students have taken this initiative in recognition of their commitment and compassion towards community especially towards deprived sections of the society. They are instrumental in meeting the essential needs of the inmates in the form of cash and kind. This initiative has got full support from faculty members of the department as it encourages them to uphold good values and attitudes towards their own life and society.
